Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Our state-of-the art 3T MRI helps your physician diagnose many conditions faster, safer, and more accurately then ever before. The power behind our 3T MRI's field strength allows for amazingly detailed images. Field strength is the power of the scanner's magnet. With higher field strengths, your scan pictures are clearer and show smaller details of your body. The improved image quality specifically assists in accurately diagnosing neurological and vascular conditions with even greater confidence. In addition, our 3T scanner also excels at imaging of the spine and musculoskeletal system (this is your bone and joint system, such as shoulders, hips, knees, and feet).

How An MRI Works
The technology uses magnetic fields and radio waves to scan your body, seeing past hard bone to produce a "picture" of soft tissues such as muscle, fat and internal organs. The procedure has no known side effects, so it is safe and effective for practically everyone.

3T MRI
Your MRI is performed in a special room that contains an examination table and the MRI imager.

You will be asked to lie on your back on the table, which slides into the center of the MRI imager. You will be able to talk to the technologist throughout the procedure.

The MRI technologist and radiologist will review the images during the scan, which will usually last from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
